Can You Wear Glasses in a U.S. Passport Photo?
Generally, remove your eyeglasses for a U.S. passport photo. Sunglasses and tinted glasses should also be removed.
Medical exceptions
If glasses cannot be removed for medical reasons, State Department guidance provides for an exception with supporting medical documentation. The glasses still cannot hide your eyes.
Before taking the photo
Remove glasses rather than trying to digitally erase them afterward. Passport photos should be submitted as original, unedited images without digital alterations.
